Pine Dunes is rated the #1 golf course in Texas by Golf Week Magazine. It is located in Frankston, Texas -only a short 20 minute drive from New York, Texas ZipLine Adventures. They also offer lodging. This is an East Texas premier golf destination. 

The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center is located nearby in Athens. It is the only fishery center in the state with a visitor center. Exhibits include 300,000 gallons of aquaria with native Texas fish, a daily dive show, and an alligator exhibit.

The Cherokee Trace Drive Thru Safari is located just past Jacksonville, Texas. They have a 300 acre wildlife park. This is a great thing to do with the whole family. 

The East Texas Arboretum is located in Athens. It is a beautiful place to spend the day. The historical Wofford house located at the Arboretum was moved there by the Shultz family. 

Sky Dive East Texas is located in Gladewater, Texas. We have had several zipline guest sky dive here and highly recommend it. 

El Arroyo is a great place to grab a bite to eat after your visit to New York, Texas. They offer a great variety of favorites with a modern twist. 

Athens Brewing Co is the perfect place to grab a locally brewed beer and listen to some live music. It is located on the square in Athens. 

Kiepersol  is located in Tyler, Texas. They have a winery, fine dining resturaunt and even places to stay. 

The Cherry Laurel is located in Athens. They offer a variety of salads, soups and sandwiches along with the worlds best butter rum cake. It is a local favorite for desserts. 

The Tara Winery offers fine dining and a covered patio. This is a lovely historical home that has been restored to excellence and is now a Bed & Breakfast. It is Located 5 miles NW of downtown Athens.
